Safe House 2012 Movie Review

Tobin Frost:
They're going to put their arm around you and tell you things like,
"You did a decent job, son. We'll take it from here."
That's when you know you're screwed.

Safe House directed by Daniel Espinosa shows a low level CIA Agent  agent Matthew Weston (  Ryan Reynolds ) trying to take custody of another dangerous ex-CIA agent Tobin Frost (Denzel Washington ) in Cape Town South Africa.

Weston is assigned a job of staying undercover and operating a safe house in Cape Town by the CIA.
Weston becomes restless as there is no activity since a year.

Frost purchases a Important file and is attacked by unknown agents. He hands himself over at the US consulate in Cape Town in order to escape them.
Frost now needs to get out of US custody.
CIA Sends in a team to take Frost to Weston's safe house and interrogate him and take him back to USA. But the Safe House is attacked and it is the responsibility of keeping Frost under custody is on Weston.

And then its all about  high rank officials in CIA and other intelligence agencies abusing their power to hide their crimes and trying to frame a good person bad.

As in any CIA or Intelligence agency related movie, we have great car chases on crowded roads, gun fights and fists fights are shown to the every detail.
Many of dialogues are familiar as they have been heard previously like "I want all information against him on Screen 1"
Also as movie progresses you begin to what the end will be.

In spite of the plot being familiar the pace of the movie and the music keeps you engaged.

Denzel Washington is great actor I loved his performance here as well as in American Gangster and Unstoppable
Ryan Reynolds has done his part well as he had done it in Green Lantern
Streets of Cape Town are captured nicely in the car chases.

Nice movie to spend a afternoon on!
